Our Character Education list for primary and secondary schools helps teachers to embed positive values such as kindness, gratitude and forgiveness into the curriculum. By nurturing such character skills, young people will grow up to become more ethical, open-minded and helpful individuals within their communities. Secondly, it is designed to teach young people to treat themselves more compassionately through positive psychology. By teaching methods such as mindfulness and self-regulation, young people will develop a stronger happiness and emotional resilience, and learn to recognise that even failure can have a transformative impact upon such traits as empathy and grit.
