This blog post marks the first in our run of Teaser Tuesdays. Every Tuesday we will release an exclusive activity from one of our new and bestselling books on Special Education. The activities can be used as ice 
breakers in the classroom or for one-to-one tutorials. They are designed to be accessible and suitable for both parents and professionals working with children with a range of special educational needs.
This week’s activity is taken from a new book by world leading authorities on Autism Spectrum Disorders Tony Attwood and Michelle Garnett, CBT to Help Young People with Asperger’s Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder) to Understand and Express Affection: A Manual for Professionals. The book is aimed at helping professionals help children with autism spectrum disorders understand why we express affection and feel confident expressing their own feelings of like or love.
In this activity the children are asked to order ten people they like or love. This could be grandpa, a superhero, their best friend or a character from a book. A great discussion starter this activity encourages children to open up about who they really like and love.
