Last week, JKP attended the 5th UK Dementia Congress in Bournemouth.
As the largest dementia-focused annual event in the UK, the congress offered an exciting mix of plenary sessions, lively workshops and debate, as well as plenty of opportunities for networking.
JKP authors were out in force, with Jackie Pool, Diana Kerr, Pam Schweitzer and Danuta Lipinska, amongst others, dropping by our stand to chat with delegates about their books.
We were also very happy to be able to present our newly published titles including Diana Kerr and Heather Wilkinson’s new book Providing Good Care at Night for Older People and Jill Hayes‘ The Creative Arts in Dementia Care, written with Sarah Povey, which has been described by David Sheard, of Dementia Care Matters, as “a deep, profound and clear demonstration of why ‘Feelings Matter Most’ in dementia care”.
Thanks to all of the delegates who stopped by the JKP stand, and to Hawker Events and the Journal of Dementia Care for organising such a fantastic program. We are already looking forward to next year!
